Every hackathon that i have attended to is a new experience, with different set of expectations and ideas ('personalized' app concept is always there all the time). This hackathon is a little bit more reserved or small scaled as I would say. This hack event wasn't that well known in my circle of SG hacker friends. I wouldn't see this hack event, if not for eventbrite, and the reason i visited eventbrite was to checkout UP Singapore Clean and Green hackathon which was scheduled on the same day. There were only around 12 teams that presented in the finals and some didn't even have a working prototype, some are even slide decks. Based on my experience the event meets my average expectation, in terms of preparation and amenities. I was just a bit disappointed, that I wasn't able to see more hard hitting ideas and innovation during this event. Is it because of the theme? Or hackers? Event Timing or Did less people in the community knew about this event.

Lifespark is an annual event for internal Singtel employees who wants to drive innovation within the company. The event is organized by pollenizer a start incubation company. The contest were around 60 hours, were in you can get coaching and mentoring for your business. As a freelancer and as an aspiring entrepreneur as myself I were able to get a few insights on what their experiences are in their own companies.
