This is a blog post consisting of personal experiences, mistakes and opinions in raising my child with down syndrome. At the time of this writing, Jace is already 7 years old. Most of my notes are recollections of previous experiences.

My eldest child Jace was born with an extra chromosome 21. Raising a first child with a down syndrome is challenging both financially and psychologically. Our ob/gyn wasn't able to flag it during the check-up due to subtle indicators. Upon delivery we were basically clueless. Jace required a stomach bypass surgery due to blockage. Jace was mis-diagnosed with Hirschsprung Disease, causing him to be under ostomy care. Jace had a hole in the heart requiring, heart surgery.

This year no more five for friday theme since over the past few months I'm too busy to put any weekly enties. The last few months or year I have been only updating single entries.

Looking back on how the Year 2022 started and how it ended for our family. Life bring different trials and often we just need to be strong facing it forward. We are just hoping that life will bring us a better future.

It has been a while since we had a company event. This is also my first team gathering event in NCS with the C2IS team. Joyce shared their class photo. She also experience her first communium this year. We had a wonderful christmas and new year. Our family is hope for the best for the upcoming 2023.

New Year 2023 and New Hope

Celebrated the New Year in Singapore

I left Manila on the 31st right before the new year. Thinking about it, it was a good decision since Manila Airport communication system broke down.

Kat is improving in her recovery period. I need to process the report card from heritage academy. I celebrated my birthday in Manila. We had the this Abano dinner in Powerplant. We had this team lunch, I believe it is pre-Christmas lunch for staffs under Cheng Hock. During flights I also watched other animes from Crunchy Roll such as Magnus Bride and Scarlet Nexus.
