Year End 2020: Chaos, Death, Corruption and Stupidity

Friday of January 01, 2021

Year end of 2020. This year has marked the history as the year of COVID-19. It has been a crazy year for everyone, it is not yet over though as it enters 2021. This year will definity be remember the year of the COVID-19 pandemic, it started in Wuhan in the mid-december of 2019, and eventually spreaded to the world this year.

WW3 Almost!

The year started with US assasinating a suspected foreign leader, this action almost triggered another war against them. There were unrest and unsettlement on the past few days, but fortunately it died down.

The Pandemic of COVID-19

The year of the pandemic. Philippines had the longest lockdown starting March, and Singapore also introduced Circuit Breaker. Singapore also eventually raised the alarm to dorson orange. Until this time of writing we are still working from home.

Australia biggest forest fire

The wildfire in the south, it affected the world's greenhouse.

Kobe Bryant Death

The year an icon died but his death was overshadowed by the year's tragedy.

Philheath Corruption

Philippines is a country of corruption, billions of money was gone from Philheath.

Work From Home

Controlling the interaction by wearing mask and face shield. Minimizing gatherings and events. Companies also let everyone to work from home to minimize tramissions within the office.

During March stock prices when down, everything crashed. Restaurants closed down, Airlines, Cruise and Travel industries were greatly affected. Christmas, ESLR Break, Gcregalo, Jurong Botanic Garden, Phase 3, Vaccine, Utautai no Ballad: Five for Friday

Thursday of December 31, 2020

This is the Christmas Season 2020 alot of things happened this year but Singapore is hopeful for recovery. There are a couple of candidate vaccines, most people was able to adapt to the current situation. I still have job and is still earning quite decently.

Christmas At the Time of COVID and Lockdowns

This month is fun for our family and no flight back to Manila but still fine...

Christmas with COVID and distancing. Singapore is quite good in handling the issue.

Opening of gift during christmas

Christmas time and its time to open the gifts...

We opened the toys for Joyce and Jace. Actually we didn't open all of them this season. We try to keep some of them so that Joyce can open them on another ocassion.

ESLR Christmas Break and our Last Month

Our last month of Online Classes in ESLR...

The 5 months was fruitful for Joyce as well.ESLR facebook page.

Jurong Gardens

We visited Jurong after Christmas...

First time in Jurong Gardens, the park behind the previous Chinese and Japanese Gardens. Nothing much on this place, it feels more like a common jogging park. The place is good if you live nearby but living from Sengkang this place truly is far. We dropby this place because of the light decors, the show and exhibit is quite good and interesting.

Phase 3: Covid Reopening

Moving to phase 3, but it seems it was more like a 2.5 transition...

Singapore is truly amazing on how it plans and handles the COVID crisis. From the extensive contact tracing, from the handling of the spike of cases within the dorms of the migrant workers until the current system of control and check. This is one of Singapore's true strenght amongst its neigboring countries.

Gcregalo Philippines

Good idea but the minimum GC is abit high for our budget...

If you are planning to buy some gift certificate you can use our referral code 102506912 gcregalo site.

Kobasolo: Wakana - Utautai no Ballad / Kazuyoshi Saito

Another Wakana cover song, I was brought to the cover based on the Eva...

PCF Graduation, My Birthday, Lazada, Hitachi DSA, EVA Fitness: Five for Friday

Monday of November 30, 2020

Ok there is only one entry for November. It is a mixed thing of being busy and lazy to write any blog. I haven't had the free time to write things. Taking care of the family takes priority and I seldom have the time to do anything else aside from work and house stuff. I will still try to make a quick summary for this month. First is, this month Joyce graduate pre-school from PCF Sparkletots. My birthday month. Buying stuff for Christmas in Lazada. Jace got a gift from Hitachi.

PCF Graduation

A graduation that almost didn't happen...

We remember nearly pulling Joyce from PCF due to the circuit breaker lockdown. The graduation almost didn't happen since were are worried that there will be prolonged event. The 2020 Singapore circuit breaker measures greatly affected school and industries. How people work and how students go to school was greatly changed. The plan for the pull out was already evident it just so happen Ms. Yeo informed us that we might end up paying more, if we pull out now. In the end we decided not to pull out and hoped that things will be better and school will open back. After 5 months since lockdown Joyce continued going to school with strict measures, the virtual graduation was cool and the teacher made their best effort, given the situation.

My Birthday

Added another year...

This is my birthday month, enjoyed the home celebration. Ordered food from Max Restaurant, gift for myself? I don't think we purchased one, but we bought a new piano for Joyce and small stuffs for myself. It was fun and a good memory this year for the celebrated birthday.

Lazada Christmas Online Shopping

Shopping month before Christmas...

Purchase toys and gifts for Jace and Joyce from Lazada. Bought the inspired paw patrol, hot wheels.

Gifts from Hitachi DSA. Hitatchi Plays Santa.

Jace got a gift from Hitachi Christmas...

Jace got a gift from Hitachi Christmas Event DSA. Jace lost his previous Elmo after he threw it in the... This gift is really a blessing for Jace, actually we are also thinking of buying one to replace the Elmo plush he always loved but this gift has more significant and is much more memorable.

Eva Fitness: Aerobic Workout

I tried this work once in a while to keep my body stretchy and flexible...

Busy Month, Plumbing, Heritage Academy Assessment, Changi Beach, Family Fight Song: Five for Friday

Friday of October 30, 2020

This is a one of the busy month for online schooling for PCF and ESLR. Plumbing repairs. Aircon cleaning. Intial phase of the pass renewal. Exam and assessment in Heritage academy 30-Oct. We also have this Fight Song dance for the ESLR's foundation day.

Busy Month for Work and School

It is a tight month for work and Joyce's Online school...

It is October and it has been almost more than a year since the lockdown. We are already got used to the work from home setup. I like this work from home setup it really is just a matter of time management, schedule and space. We were lucky enough that we can opt to work from home this COVID-19 outbreak.

Plumbing and Fixtures

Maintaining the rented house...

Maintenance work and cost is a part of staying in a house, whether it is rented or owned. This month we just did a couple of home fixtures. Repairs on the toilet flush, common shower, the buzzing sound of the pipes, the cleaning of the sofa, fixing of the dining chair and a few bits of pieces here and there.

Heritage Academy Assessment

Joyce was enrolled in the academy and assessment was fine...

Joyce is academically average, she is excited curious, persistent and fun seeker. The results went well mostly positive except for one comment that she easily gets bored in her seat. This thing we need to workout with her, either we try to make her busy or let her experience boredome more often. She is current enrolled in this wonderous school of Heritage Academy.

Changi Beach

Open space and clear air...

We went to Changi Beach this time around. We have been trying our best to choose open space places, nature and less croweded areas. COVID times means we make the most of Singapore attraction and natural places. After being in Singapore for a while and place we haven't been before.

ESLR Family Dance: Fight Song for COVID-19 Health Workers

One of the ESLR memories we have is the Fight Song Dance during COVID...
