Five for Friday: End of 2016

Friday of December 30, 2016

This is a wild year, looking back on how the year was for us.

Flashback: Start of 2016, Jace High Fever

Getting sick in a foreign country is not a trivial thing, specially for someone with weak immunity and has a down syndrome disability. After getting high fever for 4 days, we decided to go back to Manila for Jace' treatment. Getting treatment in Singapore is costly for foreigners which could easily hit around S$10,000 for a week hospitalization, excluding doctor fees.

Flashback: Tioman Malaysia, Berjaya

Our summer break vacation and short gateaway this year would be in Tioman Malaysia, the place is really nice and cozy. Philippine beaches and resorts are much better though.

Flashback: Jace and Joyce Birthday

Jace turns 4 and Joyce turns 2.

Flashback: Projects, Pinoypixel and Forkge

Work can be described as tons of change request, data check and modification, hard tender, design improvements, security enhancements and QA audit changes. On the side I try to work my game development blog Pinoypixel. We won the company project initiative name Forkge.

Flashback: World views, Presidency and Events

Politics and social behaviour cannot be wilder this year. Duterte won Philippine elections. Trump won US elections. Manila or some parts of PH experience the changes under the new President some welcome it as a positive change and some consider it as a cruel implication. Trully this can adminstration uses blood to trigger change. Another thing is PH tighten US relations and increase China ties.
