Five for Friday: Liferay

Friday of November 11, 2016

Doing is the best way to learn at something. My writing skills are terrible and I have poor sense of composition. Inspired by my previous lead developer. I will be taking Five for Friday write-up seriously. It is a review mix of things I do, like and sorts. Lets start off by discussing the following stuff.

Games, Pokemon Go

Lets face it most of us played or still playing Pokemon Go. I played it about two - three weeks before I gave it a call. Only reached level 25 and only filled half of the total pokedex. My key takes on the games are,

  1. Nostalgia
  2. Simple game play
  3. Good exercise app motivator
  4. Lack of stickiness
  5. Sense of competitiveness and balance
  6. Lack of items
  7. Achievements are not so rewarding

Indiedev, Liferay

I am working on a game Liferay, it is a basic swipe and shoot game. It is a casual fun play. It has a simple story plot of the ninja saving the princess. Cheers.

Work, Forkge

This is an initiative, I do in my work it is a project similar to IFTTT and Microsoft Flow. Unexpectedly I need to present it to our chief architect whether the company can kick some cash out of it.

Marketplace, Qoo10

Qoo10 is Singapore Ebay for my perspective, the one stop shop of my Diaper and Milk Groceries, Restaurant vouchers. It has nice assortments from various sellers and enticing coupon discounts.

Blog, Pinoypixel

Oh well my self promoted game blog. I should also do a one game per week entries on that site to have push.
